Perhaps Pulau Perhentian, Pulau Redang, and other Pulau are too well-known and "overheated" too many people, but Pulau Rhu Hentian, which is just 15 nautical miles off the coast of Kuala Besut, is little known. It is a newly discovered and emerging island in the East Coast tourism industry. Pulau Rhu Hentian is accessible by boat from Kuala Besut in 20 to 30 minutes due to its proximity to the mainland. At the time, the island is not inhabited. This is without a doubt an extra value benefit for vacationers. As a result, the island's biodiversity and sea life have remained untouched. While Pulau Rhu Hentian is a newcomer to the country's tourism industry, some water activities such as swimming, snorkeling, and diving can be organized through some travel agencies. Aside from that, due to the island's small scale, visitors will go on a 2-hour "orientation" trek as a "get to know you" activity. The Fisheries Association of Kuala Besut has learned from the state government that a resort, the Rhu Hentian Resort, is being developed as the first step in developing this small yet beautiful island.
